Software engineer · WordPress & mobile apps
I build and look afterthe websites and appsbusinesses run on.
For the last couple of years I've been building and looking after the WordPress sites, web platforms and apps businesses depend on — keeping them fast and secure, and turning half-formed ideas into things customers actually use.

—How I see the job
Most businesses don't need another developer who disappears after launch. They need someone who understands what the site is for, answers when something breaks, and keeps making it a little better every month. That's the job I've been doing — and the one I care about doing well.
01What I do
Four kinds of work, one way of doing it.
- 01
WordPress websites
Your business site on WordPress — fast, secure and easy for your team to update.
- 02
Mobile apps
Android apps that people install, open again, and keep.
- 03
Web platforms & portals
Member areas, course platforms, dashboards and the tools behind the scenes.
- 04
Ongoing care
The unglamorous part that decides whether a website keeps earning: updates, fixes, speed and safety.
—Running on WordPress?
Over 40% of the web runs on WordPress. So does most of my work.
If your site is built on WordPress, I already know my way around it — whether it needs building from scratch, rescuing, speeding up or simply looking after.
- 01
New WordPress sites
Designed around your business, not a theme demo.
- 02
Custom themes & plugins
When off-the-shelf doesn't quite fit.
- 03
WooCommerce stores
Products, checkout, payments and shipping that just work.
- 04
Courses & memberships
Learning platforms and member-only areas.
- 05
Speed fixes
Slow pages found, fixed and kept fast.
- 06
Security setup
Sensible protection from day one: logins, backups and safe updates.
- 07
Moves & migrations
New host, new domain or onto WordPress — without losing anything.
- 08
Fixing what broke
That plugin update that took the site down. Sorted.
Listen first. Build it right. Ship it. Then keep it running.
02Selected work
Real businesses, real users. Details kept private where they need to be.

Subscription store migration for a nonprofit publisher
A literary nonprofit split one old WordPress site into two — one for the organisation, one for its publishing press. I moved the press's subscription store — 3,430 customers, their full order history, 547 subscriptions, gift subscriptions and memberships — without losing a record or charging anyone by mistake.

03Kind words
What it's like to work with me.
I've just started taking on freelance work of my own, separate from my full-time role. The work I show here is real, but the clients I've worked with through my job aren't mine to quote. So this space is waiting for my first freelance clients, in their words.
This spot is for my first freelance client. Could it be you?
